How do I draw support and resistance levels correctly?

Every time I draw levels, my chart looks messy and price never respects them exactly. What am I doing wrong?

Think in zones, not exact lines. Price rarely turns at the same pip twice.

  • Start on a higher timeframe such as D1 or H4, then zoom in.
  • Mark areas where price turned several times, and clear swing highs and lows.
  • Round numbers (like 1.1000 or 2,000) often act as levels.
  • Do not mark everything. If your chart looks like a spider web, delete half of the lines.

When price breaks a level and comes back to test it, old support often becomes new resistance and the other way round.
