Which trading session is best for EURUSD and gold?
I trade after work and I am not sure which hours are the most active. Does the session really matter?

Yes, it matters. The most active hours are usually when London and New York are both open, roughly from 1 pm to 5 pm London time. Liquidity is high, spreads are tighter and moves are often cleaner.
The Asian session is usually quieter for EURUSD, with smaller ranges, although yen pairs can move. Gold is active in both the London and New York sessions and often reacts strongly to US data.
Session times shift with daylight saving, so check them against your broker's server time.
