I keep overtrading after a few wins. How can I stop?

After two or three winning trades I start taking low quality setups and give everything back.

Overtrading usually comes from overconfidence or boredom. Rules help more than willpower:

  • Set a maximum number of trades per day (for example 2 or 3).
  • Set a daily loss limit and stop for the day when you reach it.
  • Write a short checklist and take a trade only when every point is ticked.
  • Define your trading hours and close the platform afterwards.

After a winning streak, do not increase your size. Review your journal weekly and count how many trades actually followed your plan.
